Marco A. Gutierrez, DDS

Empowering my patients with the education needed to care and maintain their oral care is one of my greatest contributions to my patients and society at large. Oral health is essential for pain-free teeth and gums as well as for a beautiful smile. My biggest professional pleasure is being able to change somebody’s life by helping them replace their oral pain with a healthy, happy, and confident smile.

I am especially passionate about treating the dental needs of children and adults who suffer from dental phobia. I follow a patient-friendly approach that educates and empowers my patients throughout their entire procedure. It is my pleasure to treat my patients’ dental needs in a safe, comfortable environment, free of fear and phobia.

Education and Experience
My formal education was just the beginning of my lifetime of study in the dental profession. My continued participation in the Alpha Omega Study Club allows me to keep abreast of current dental technology and research based dental procedures. This group also allows me to consult with colleagues and specialists if a patient’s dental needs are beyond my professional training and experience. Everything I do is for the betterment of my patients’ experience and overall health.

Bachelor of Arts in chemistry – California State University, Sacramento, CA
Doctorate of Dental Surgery – University of Iowa Dental School

Outside the Office
I was born in Mexico, and my family relocated to Sacramento, CA, when I was nine years old. Twelve years ago, my wife, our two daughters, our cat, and I moved to Oregon, the most beautiful part of our country. Since moving here, I’ve taken advantage of numerous outdoor activities, hiking, reading, traveling, and meditation.

People without dental insurance or financial resources can rarely access adequate dental care services. Coming from a low-income family myself, I suffered through multiple toothaches as a child because my family lacked dental insurance and could not afford treatment. Therefore, now that I can, I gladly volunteer my services regularly at different community programs to address the desperate dental needs of low-income individuals. This is done most often through Love Inc., the International Medical Team, and the Mission of Mercy.
